The store I went to was Hot Topic in the mall. I've been in this store before, but not exactly because I wanted to be in there. I feel that a lot of there items in the store are directed towards a certain personality, which isn't my personality. There are a bunch of items in the store that were eye appealing, but the clothing is a tighter fit, and I personally do not like my clothes that tight.
The workers there seemed like they wanted to help me out, but really didn't put forth great effort. The store was not busy by any means. They probably looked me up and down and realized that I probably wasn't going to buy anything from the store, seeing that my attire was different than what they sell there.
The Ambiance there was noisy, rowdy music. Music I'm not too into, but it was turned up the entire time. There were tons of different t-shirts up on the wall in plastic containers so shoppers can see what the logo is on the front. There are many different items pertaining to different bands. There was also a lot of jewelry in the store for people that have a variety of different piercings.
My perception of the store remained the same. I really didn't expect to get anything there, nor did I expect to seem too interested in the items there. Would I go there again? Sure I would. There were some t-shirts that related to different comic book characters...lots of colors. I thought some of those looked cool, but the sizes were all way to small for me to wear.

Blog 8-VIDEO
When they are talking about buying/joining a brand, it seems that Americans are looking to relate to a brand, and have faith in a certain brand. Advertisers need to relate companies to the American people so they can become loyal to a brand. Some common elements consist of relating to certain groups. Linking advertising to one's emotions is a big factor when it comes to getting someone's attention. If advertisers can relate to different emotions that society feels, then they have a good chance of reeling in customers. The problem today seems that advertisers are trying way too hard to get their ads out there. Everywhere you go, there are ads. TONS AND TONS OF ADS. I liked the clip in Time Square in NYC. People are almost attacked with ads. Everywhere someone looks, you will most likely be looking at some sort of ad.
I think we are headed into an overload of advertising. I think if advertising stays on the same track it's on right now, people will not know what to buy. Advertising seems to be getting more and more persuasive, and in the future, so many ads may be so persuasive that consumers may not know what to buy and where to buy it from because they will be unable to make their minds up. I do like that advertisers are doing more research to understand consumers mind sets much better. It seems to be very effective. It can also seem like advertisers may be getting too deep into it though. All of these different groups and sessions that get set up to help just start an ad campaign may be helpful, but I also think that this may overwhelm some people, and it can turn out to not be helpful at all.

branding
Before I bought my Ipod, I really wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend that money. As bad as I wanted one, it was 250 dollars, and that’s a nice amount of money to a college student. The brand name of the product is Apple. When I first think of an Ipod, I think of how cool I think they are, how small they are, how I can put movies and photos on the Ipod, how much space the Ipod has, and the different things I can use it on at my home. The thing that shaped my perception about and Ipod the most would definitely be seeing all my friends that have an Ipod and how much they love having them. They all told me that they really enjoy having it, and they are very convenient.
